The links

Scottish instinct. New England shore.

Donald Steel, the British links architect, laid out Aquidneck with a links player's eye: firm turf, fescue framing, and greens that let the wind and the ground do the talking. Par 71 from five sets of tees, played April through November.

Illustrative routing, not to scale. One-shot holes in gold.

The course

Eighteen holes, one at a time.

Gold tees: 6,675 yards, par 71, rating 72.3, slope 131.
